WAVE 2: INTERMEDIATE FREEDIVER
COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this intermediate course, you’ll learn how to train your body for freediving and how to hold your breath for more than two and a half minutes. Topics include pre-dive optimization, improvement of Frenzel equalization, and introduction to the dolphin kick. If you are taking the Wave 2 course, you master the skills and knowledge needed to freedive comfortably to a depth of 24-30m/79-99ft in open water.

Molchanovs Wave 2 Manual and Online Course, Molchanovs Community, and access to Base 2 Trainings after certification requirement (Lap/Wave)
SCHEDULE
PAYMENT
The cost for class is $850. Payment can be made through either Venmo (@bayareafreediving) or Paypal (rebekah.freediving@gmail.com). If Venmo prompts for the last four digits of my number, enter “1426.” A deposit of $300 will secure your spot for the dates, and the remaining balance is due 7 days prior to class. Rescheduling for future courses is available but there is a fee attached varying on the amount of notice received. If you cancel within 7 days prior to the course, you may lose your full course cost.
COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS
It is paramount to the safety of our instructor and our fellow students that you only take the course if you are COVID negative and have taken every precaution possible to remain so. We require that all students provide a negative COVID19 test within three days of class, exhibit no symptoms and follow COVID19 procedures in class. Failure to meet any of these criteria will result in a dismissal from class. Please review the document below for more information.
GEAR RENTAL
The gear required for class is the following:
- Mask & Snorkel
- Wetsuit (5mm at least, 7mm recommended)
- Fins
- Weight Belt/Weights
- Booties/Gloves (highly recommended, not required)
- Watch (does not have to be dive-specific)
Freedive specific long fins, dive watch, rubber weight belt, and low-volume mask recommended but not required. Gear rental is available as a package or as a supplement to your own gear. The cost for a full equipment rental during the entire class is $130 (3-days). If you need to rent certain pieces, check out our Gear Rental Agreement for the price per piece.
